Following the “revelations” in Hank Haney’s recent book that Tiger Woods considered quitting golf to join the military we consider some more jobs that may suit golf’s former number one.
Long Haul Lorry Driver
When Tiger first burst onto the golfing scene he was well known for driving extremely long distances. A skill anyone working for Eddie Stobart must have on their CV!
Formula One Driver
Tiger has all that is required to be a top class racing driver. He has supreme concentration, athleticism and best of all, judging by the way he stops his swing mid flow from time to time, lightning quick reflexes…oh no…wait…escalade…fire hydrant…tree…never mind!
World Number One in any other sport
According to Earl Woods Tiger “could have beaten Michael Johnson” in the 400m had he not been so focused on golf from an early age. We wonder what other sports Tiger “could have” (but probably wouldn’t) dominate the way he did with golf for so long.
Human Billboard
Judging by Tiger’s ability to walk for more than 36 holes a day during practice and his long list of endorsements and sponsors, even post “fire hydrant gate”, he could easily have been one of the best at pounding the pavement advertising for a “Massive Rug Sale” or “Jethro’s Tyre Shop”.
Spear Fisherman
Away from the golf course Tiger apparently likes to dabble in a spot of spear fishing. This unusual hobby may come in handy if Woods can’t get back on track and start winning after his injury and personal troubles.
