Diners visiting the Gaucho Broadgate on Tuesday 12th June had the chance to enter Your Golf Travel’s Putt in the City competition and to register for Seve Day, a Europe wide charity golf tournament run by Your Golf Travel, giving all golfers the chance to participate and celebrate one of the sport’s most talented and charismatic players a year after his death.
Enter one of the top 72 full handicap Stableford scores in from your round in July and win a chance to play in the star-studded celebrity final of Seve Day. Finalists will be in with a chance of winning, among other things, a trip to the US Masters in Augusta.
The 1st night of Putt in the City was a great success and naturally the highlight of the evening was the much anticipated match between YGT and Gaucho themselves!
How would you score at Putt in the City?
Each team featured four players who each had 5 putts to take, with the lowest aggregate distance from the hole the aim of the game. YGT got off to a solid start with the first three players recording scores of 7’10”, 8’2” and 11’8”. This display of solid lag putting had team YGT leading against team Gaucho by just a few inches so it was clear that the final players from either side would decide the result.
Step forward YGT team member number 4 whose total distance from the hole was a disastrous 47’3”!! (Putts that leave the putting surface are automatically recorded as being 25 feet from the hole)
YGT team member number 4…you shall remain nameless…you know who you are…practice that putting!
Congrats to team Gaucho who ended up with a handsome 31 foot victory courtesy of YGT’s Patrick McCaghy…oh yes…you were supposed to remain nameless…must have slipped my mind!
Head down to Gaucho Broadgate and enter Putt in the City on any Tuesday or Thursday between the start of the US Open on June 12th and the beginning of the Open Championship at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s on July 19th.
