golfing history traceable to 1869. Not only does the club have a rich heritage,
it is also host to an excellent course, designed by the revered Harry S. Colt.

The designer of Wentworth, Sunningdale Old and Pine Valley among others is responsible for some of the world’s most prestigious courses,
and Alnmouth is surely one of his undiscovered gems. Though it is located on
the coast, the turf is parkland, and the course has a fantastic reputation for
the quality of its putting surfaces.
Alnmouth is 6,450 yards from the championship markers, but
its subtle design makes it extremely challenging, and certainly enjoyable as
part of a golf tour of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
