Bidford can be characterised as an ‘inland links', where hard, bouncy turf makes controlling the ball very difficult in the dry summer months. Powerful ball-striking is extremely beneficial given the course's length, and compiling a good score requires negotiating certain treacherous holes, most notably the 8th, 13^th and 16^th.

Despite its relative youth, Bidford has already established itself as a quality course, and has been rewarded with selection as a venue for PGA Europro Tour events since 2004. With some delightful water features throughout, and the free-flowing River Avon bordering four of the holes, Bidford is a superb resort course which will satisfy golfers of all standards.

The Metropoliton Hotel at Bidford Grange has undergone significant investment and improvement in recent years, and the 54 en-suite guest rooms now offer golf and leisure visitors accommodation in a relaxed, comfortable environment.

The accommodation consists of a range of singles, twins, triples and quads, while there are also a number of cottages, which cater perfectly for large groups of golfers. The hotel has rights on a stretch of the River Avon, making it ideal for avid fishermen, who can try to reel in carp, tench or perch. Visitors can also take advantage of the local facilities for clay pigeon shooting, gliders, canoeing, quad bikes, paint-balling and cycling.
