Blue skies ahead for Your Golf Travel.com

Europe's fastest growing golf travel company - Your Golf Travel.com - has underlined its continued expansion into the overseas golf market with the purchase of Blue Bay Golf Holidays for an undisclosed sum.

Originally known as Sky Blue Golf.com, Blue Bay had a turnover in excess of £2 million in the three years from 2005, and commanded a client base of more than 20,000 golfers. With focused expertise in mainland Spain, Portugal and the Balearic Islands, the acquisition of Blue Bay is a strategic one and dovetails with Your Golf Travel.com's continued expansion into the European market.

Your Golf Travel.com's 2008 performance stands out among its peers with a dynamic approach that has seen bookings for all type of golf holidays increase significantly in the past two years. Latest forecasts predict a 95% growth in its domestic business, whilst overseas golf holidays show an impressive year-on-year increase of 150%.

"This is a win-win situation", said Ross Marshall, managing director of Your Golf Travel Limited.

"Firstly, the move strengthens our position in the European golf holiday market, while also allowing us to reinvigorate what was once a popular and recognisable brand for golf travellers. As a company, we continue to seek further strategic acquisitions to add to our burgeoning portfolio."

Malcolm Jewell, founder of Blue Bay, said: "I am delighted that a reputable and responsible name like Your Golf Travel.com has become the custodian, providing assurance to existing clients and the wherewithal to build on the investment made in the brand."

Initial activity will see the re-launch of Blue Bay Golf Holidays as a Your Golf Travel.com brand, with a revamped website at www.bluebaygolf.co.uk offering a comprehensive choice of destinations for golf travelers.
