Braid Hills is a unique golfing experience; the course is laid out around and over the steep hills to the south of Edinburgh city centre, at times providing absolutely incredible views back towards the capital's amazing architectural panorama.

The 5,865 yard course is administered by the local council, but it is an excellent layout that is used for many regional events. The par 71 test is studded with countless gorse bushes, whose yellow bloom makes Braid Hills special in the summer months.
Though not especially long, Braid Hills No. 1 Course is a good challenge, demanding great creativity, and it is an extremely entertaining addition to an Edinburgh golf tour.
