Thank you very much for your efforts. Its nice to receive advice rather than just information. Kind regards,
Excellent venue – great value & 2 great courses.Thanks,
Just arrived back from Breadsall Priory and wanted to thank you for your help when I booked the event. The whole package was exceptional value for money. Everything from our arrival until we left exceeded the groups expectations. The two courses where superb and in great condition and some of the more experienced players had the The Priory course up their with the best they had played. Some have even threatened to take their wives for a weekend away, is nothing sacred!!Again thanks for everything,
Just a quick e-mail to say thank you for your help in booking our golf break. We had a fabulous time and the staff at Breadsall Priory were lovely. It was a very special few days - I even managed a birdie after a year off since the last round! Thanks for arranging the upgrade.Kind regards,
Sally and Mark Manz
Looking for a memorable golf break? Look no further. The Marriott Breadsall Priory fits the bill. Breadsall Priory offers two golf courses, great surroundings, good food and friendly, helpful staff.
The Priory course provides rolling and undulating fairways, and small, fast greens that offer a challenge to golfers of all abilities. Splash out on a stroke saver to negotiate those water hazards, and watch out for those mid- fairway trees.
Breadsall Priory combines the ancient and historical, (it dates back to 1260), with the modern comfort of a Marriott hotel. We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the 18th green, and when you’re not on the course yourself, what better way to spend an hour or two than sipping a drink and watching others compete with the steeply sloping fairway that leads to the final green.
Finish your day with a well earned drink (or two) and a tasty meal, taking in that impressive view of lake and gardens.
Your Golf Travel were efficient as ever in booking the hotel and tee times. All in all, definitely one to put on your list for a future golf break.
We had an absolutely fabulous time on our recent golf break at a really brilliant venue.
On arrival many of my guys were a little taken aback by the grandeur of the place and wondered whether this really was where a group of humble hackers from Milton Keynes were staying for the weekend. They need not have worried. The organisation was perfect and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we had all we needed to make us "comfortable" - including serving us with drinks until around 3am!
The accommodation at Breadsall was first class and the food throughout our stay was excellent. I felt the menu in the Priory restuarant would not have been out of place in any Michelin Star establishment.
As for the golf, it was a challenging weekend. Having started with the relatively open Moorland course in, what we later realised was, a mild breeze, everyone was expecting a high scoring (points wise) competition. That lasted until first 4 ball tee shots on the Saturday - I'm sure you know the drive at the 1st on the Priory course. Into what felt like 60-70mph winds just hitting the green in 3 seemed a reasonable target! I have to say the Priory is a stunning course, although played in extremely difficult conditions (although we got away with no rain) everyone agreed it is a fantastic layout and perfectly maintained.
As a society we have probably enjoyed 10 golf break weekends in the UK and 7 or 8 week-long golf holidays abroad during the last dozen years. This was one of the best golf breaks we have been on so far and we have already started discussing a Celtic Manor golf break we hope to go on next year.
I hope you can tell that we had a really great time! We will be back soon and will be shouting your name from the rafters at our local golf club!
I would like to thank Your Golf Travel once again for a great venue booked. What can I say, Marriott Breadsall Priory Hotel Golf and Country club ticks all the right boxes.
Two great golf courses in excellent condition, good for all levels of golfer. The Moorland course quite open but very challenging. The Priory course being the main course totally different making players think about their way round, not just hitting the long shots. Greens on both courses in excellent condition, very fast with lots of contours and undulations.
The clubhouse/nineteenth hole, where staff were very friendly and helpful with a good choice of food and drink, although the drinks were a little over-priced but usual for this type of hotel. The clubhouse also housed the leisure club which I and some of the members used, pool, steam room, Jacuzzi and sauna. Great to relax and take some of the aches and pains away.
The Hotel - first class! Very friendly and helpful staff, with the rooms very spacious and comfortable.Atmosphere both clubhouse and Hotel excellent. Location - just northwest of Derby, well signposted and very easy to find with Derby City Centre only 5 miles away for a good night out.
In all this was a great venue and I would recommend for anyone to go there - 10 out of 10.Having booked 6 trips with YGT this was up there as one of the best with all my party saying that they will go back.
I would definitely recommend YGT to any golfing party to look and book their mini-breaks.
