Brean Golf Club is only gently undulating and not long by modern standards at just shy of 6,000 yards, but will you smash your handicap with a barrage of birdies? Probably not. The par of 69 is well judged and if the wind blows - the golf club is situated behind the sand dunes, approximately 400 yards inland - it will be a tough test. Streams and ditches traversing the fairways make you think about your tee shots and water hazards provide the risk-reward element that can make or break a round. Nowhere more so than at the 14th and 18th holes which both call for brave shots across water of you're to have a chance of putting for birdie.
On your way you can enjoy some striking views towards Brent Knoll and Cheddar Gorge an the course is also known for its great conditioning and good drainage.
The resident PGA qualified Professional and staff offer a range of services including coaching, club repairs and a comprehensive range of golf equipment.
Adjoining the Pro shop are changing rooms and Club Room. Other courses in the area including the famous links course at Burnham and Berrow, plus Isle of Wedmore, Weston Super Mare, and Worlebury, all of which are within 30 minutes' drive.
Brean Leisure Park facilities include a swimming pool complex with indoor and outdoor pools and four waterslides and Fun City - featuring rides and rollercoasters.
