Golfer reviews

Our group thoroughly enjoyed their golf tour of the Southern coast of Wales. All of the golf courses you had recommended were top class and the hotel was in the perfect location.

Pennard has to be in the top ten golf courses we have played with a good layout and challenging holes the entire way around the golf course. One of the best things about Pennard is the stunning views you get from all over the course. Even if you were having a tough day on the course you would be hard pressed not to enjoy this absolute gem! The 19th hole reflected the quality of the course; the beers were lovely and were priced very fairly.

Fairwood Park was also really nice. The fairways and greens were excellent and the course was testing for all of the golfers in our group between which there is a good range of handicaps. The clubhouse here was a bit basic but the food and drink was fine and again fairly priced. We were challenged about payment after our round but a quick phone clla to Your Golf Travel and everything was sorted.

Machynys Peninsula had all of our party drooling at the quality of the fairways and greens! The layout was stunning and it came as no surprise to hear Mr Nicklaus was responsible for it! Everyone was saying they would come back and play it again which is always a good sign. The course is fair to all golfers but perhaps higher handicappers would struggle on the back nine. The quality of the entire complex here was outstanding and we had a great day.

We stayed at the Carlton Hotel which was a simple but charming little hotel in Swansea. The food was ok but we were a little disappointed with the limited selection however the hotel made a smart move to make up for this by giving us some free golf balls as an apology.

Your Golf Travel’s service was again excellent and I will continue to come back to book golf breaks and tours with you until that changes!
