Thanks a million for organising our golf tour of Wales. We had a blast of time and every golf course we played was a real gem so thanks for the recommendations...we had never heard of a couple of the course on your list but they were all amazing.
We stayed at the Celtic Royal Hotel which was great. Although the golf was the main focus we really enjoyed our time in the hotel. The facilities were fantastic and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The on-site restaurant was excellent and we ate most of our evening meals here. Needless to say we gave the bar staff a good work out as well!
Our first round of golf was at Royal St David’s which was simply stunning. A real links course that doesn’t show any mercy in windy conditions. It only measures about 6,500 yards but it plays so much longer and is only a par 69 so it was tough going. We embraced the challenge though and all loved the course. There were plenty of ‘stingers’ and ‘bump and runs galore’ which are not really called for on the inland courses we usually play.
Our second round was the highlight of the golf holiday. We arrived at Nefyn & District Golf Club with a less than optimistic outlook as we had never heard of it before we spoke with Your Golf Travel. We felt foolish for doubting you as soon as we had played the first hole. From there things just got better and better and the stretch of holes that go out to the edge of the peninsula are amazing. Among the best three or four holes I have ever played in 23 years of playing golf!
Porthmadog was a fitting way to end a superb golf trip as it was yet another fantastic links. From all over the course you get great views of the sea and every hole is a real delight to play. We played Porthmadog on a sunny, still day so it was not as testing as the other two which we played in high winds. After our exertions on the golf course and in the bar this was the perfect, relaxing way to sign off on our 2011 Welsh golf tour; something we will be looking to repeat every year from now on!
The golf break package we bought from Your Golf Travel was amazing value for money. We were actually a bit sneaky and enquired about green fees etc after receiving your quote and we now realise there’s no way we could have beaten you price so a big thumbs up for that! Your service was great as well. We had to change the tee times a couple of times due to last minute work issues but that never seemed to be a problem for you and the trip itself ran like clockwork.

Our golf tour of Wales was first class and we were all very impressed by the value for money that was secured by Your Golf Travel who we were using for the first (and not the last time).
We played 3 great golf courses along the way; we had played Conwy and Nefyn & District before but hadn’t yet visited Porthmadog Golf Club. I was a little bit concerned that it wouldn’t live up to the quality of the other two great courses but there was absolutely no need to be apprehensive. Porthmadog was a really great course and had one of the best back nines we had ever played...a stretch of holes that could rival the very best at our favourite course, Hillside.
The Celtic Royal Hotel was fantastic; great food and splendid rooms and we were even blessed with fine weather.
I look forward to our next golf trip with Your Golf Travel.
