Channels Course
The Channels Course is the main 18 hole layout at the club, and makes use of the nine holes present since the club's inauguration in 1974. Being predominantly built on reclaimed land from the surrounding area, the architects of the new holes had a blank canvas with which to work, and the resultant blend of lakes and undulating fairways have made the Channels one of Essex's most interesting challenges. In tackling the par-71 layout, golfers will face many instances of risk versus reward, where choosing which line to take over water is a matter of sheer bravery.

Belsteads Course
The Belsteads Course may only be nine holes, but there are two sets of tees for every one, giving good variety and in fact playing as a full 18 holes. Though not long, the second course at the Channels is highly entertaining, especially on the holes encompassing the threat of water. The shorter layout makes the Belsteads perfect for those still mastering the game, but is also a useful tool to sharpen the all-important short game of the experienced golfer.

After your round, enjoy a deserved drink in the historic 14^th century clubhouse, which is also ideally equipped to host corporate and society outings.

Be brave on the 17^th tee, and take the ‘Tiger line' over the water.

The Channels Lodge is a intimate hotel of the highest standards. The six en-suite guest rooms are the result of a painstaking renovation of the 15^th century farmhouse, and boast the perfect blend of traditional style and modern comfort. The Essex Barn is a superb gallery room with magnificent exposed beams, which is a perfect facility for functions and large-scale private dining.
