Club de Campo del Mediterráneo is a very pretty and interesting Ramon Espinosa design that is ideal for walking, with gentle undulations and very pretty scenery in the green, oasis like valley the course is situated in. Sergio Garcia is said to have played here as a junior and it's easy to see why it can help hone and develop good golfers.
Set admist olive and carob trees, it is blessed with superb conditioning and a large practice area. There's a fine mix of testing holes that are deemed challenging enough to test Europe's best on the European Tour. The three holes around the turn, the 9th, 10th and 11th are particularly challenging - the 10th plays uphill to a tiered green with out of bounds left and back of the putting surface. The 18th is a great closing hole that doglegs left to a green in the front of the clubhouse protected by two large bunkers.
There is a well-appointed, friendly and comfortable clubhouse supporting golf and other sports such as tennis, soft ball tennis, football and swimming.
