Formerly a nine hole course, originally designed in 1905 by Willie Fernie, Colvend’s second nine was added in 1997, and its layout has been revised recently by prestigious architects Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas.

Situated just minutes from the lovely Solway coast, the hilly course presents terrific views, with the Isle of Man visible on a clear day. Tree-lined fairways, rolling undulations and a couple of striking water hazards are among the most endearing features at Colvend, which comes highly recommended to any golfing visitor to Scotland’s delightful south-west.
