November 2008 - Tom Brydon
We all had an excellent time. The hotel was fantastic and they were very helpful and welcoming. It was easy to find from the airport and in a great location to get to Albufeira/Vilamoura. They upgraded us all to suites with sea views and they were very nice rooms. The fact that it included breakfast just added to the value. We also made full use of the spa facilities - making hangovers that bit easier!
The golf courses were all amazing. We had no trouble whatsoever regarding lack of handicap certificates or hiring buggies on site. Salgados was a lot of fun and unlike anything that any of us have ever played before. Morgado and Alamos both offered amazing views and had some really tough holes, so were also great. The tee times did make it a challenge to get round the 18 holes before the dark, but at the same time, we were grateful for the late start, so you can't win them all. Seeing the green fees showed us what a great deal we got.
As for the time of year, the weather was perfect. 20-25 degrees and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. Played in shorts and t-shirt every day. Albufeira was an absolute ghost town with very little open, but we found enough to entertain ourselves. Vilamoura was a bit more lively (although the casino is basically an arcade)!
You made the whole booking experience very easy, even when we needed to make quite awkward changes at the last minute. So because of your customer service and great value deal, I can almost guarantee that I will use you again when we look at going on our next golf holiday. We really did have the best time.
