Desert Pines is unique among Las Vegas golfing venues, casting aside the traditional desert style that is predominant throughout the city's courses and instead importing a taste of the Carolinas to Nevada. This even includes transporting South Carolina pine needles to give the club that genuine flavour.

Laid out among some 4,000 mature pines, the course was designed by the Dye Designs International group and has established itself as one of the best in Las Vegas. Opened in 1997, Desert Pines has been constructed in line with USGA principles, helping to establish its reputation for excellent greens.
Three sets of tees, with a maximum length of 6,810 yards, serve the par-71 layout, which is an extremely enjoyable experience. Water is a constant threat, while the enduring Dye trademark of huge, heavily contoured greens makes putting tricky at best.
