Golf du Roncemay

Since opening for play in 1989, this 18 hole Jean Garaialde designed layout has garnered a good reputation. Nestled in a stunning setting, much of the course has been routed through copses of mature oak, beech and birch trees, thus accuracy is paramount from the tee. The remaining 7 holes are played on the vast plateau that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish links land.

Measuring 6,856 yards from the tips, this course is long enough to offer a challenging round of golf to the big hitters while forward tees make it accessible to players with less experience. Although accuracy is key, a deft touch on and around the greens is also important. Undulating greens make three putting a distinct possibility but thanks to the ample practice facilities that include a practice putting green this should be too much of an issue.

Accommodation at Domaine et Golf du Roncemay

This hotel is a small country retreat but what it lacks in size it makes up for in intimacy and attentive service. Guests can enjoy 15 traditionally styled and well equipped rooms.
