The Filton Golf Club was originally founded in 1909, and its nine hole course was extended to a full layout in 1912. However, it was not until 1979 that the club seized the opportunity to purchase the parcel of land on which the course sits today.

The championship course is now well established, offering a challenging and diverse test for a golf tour in Bristol. The gently rolling terrain is the starting point for some delightful holes, while the main challenge may arise from the small greens, which are well protected by strategic bunkering.
