Golfing race fans can enjoy the perfect start to Royal Ascot with Fairway to Furlong.
Following the success of its Cheltenham Festival Centenary Golf Day, the company has launched a new curtain raiser to the prestigious flat racing event – the Royal Ascot Golf Day and Charity Ball, hosted by Channel 4 Racing’s Derek Thompson.
Taking place on Monday, June 13, the event comprises a first-class golf day at The Berkshire followed by a charity ball at Royal Ascot, with all attendees receiving a grandstand badge for the following day’s racing.
A plethora of famous faces from the world of sport and horseracing is set to take part in the golf day, which will begin with a champagne breakfast, followed by 18 holes on The Berkshire’s renowned Red course.
A summer lunch will be served after golf alongside prize-giving for the top three teams and individual awards for a number of competitions including ‘Beat the Former Jockey’. A host of great prizes are available, including five-star holidays and every golfer will receive a goody bag on arrival.
Entry to the competition costs £1,500 for a team of four – or three players can enter together to play alongside a racing or sporting celebrity.
The charity ball starts from 7pm with guests arriving at Ascot Racecourse’s Royal Entrance for a four-course, all-inclusive, black-tie gala dinner.
A panel of horseracing stars and experts will guide attendees through the coming week’s races at Royal Ascot followed by entertainment from top singers and bands and a charity auction in aid of Cancer Research UK and the Injured Jockeys Fund.
Tickets to the gala dinner cost £295 each or £2,500 for a table for 10 people. Royal Enclosure hospitality is also available for the following day’s racing for just £599 per person with an exclusive finishing line location.
Those keen to enjoy the full day can book a team for golf and a table at the charity ball for just £3,000, while two teams and a table costs only £4,000.
