Galashiels is an entertaining challenge, and was founded in 1884. Though it is no longer a regular on the tour circuit, the Galashiels Open was once one of the most prestigious titles around, with former winners including Harry Vardon, James Braid and W. H. Taylor.

The golf course is split into two sections by a steep hill, and once on top, visitors will enjoy the spectacular views across the surrounding countryside.
