The Venezia Golf Club has for the past three years hosted the Italian Seniors Open, an event fully sanctioned by the PGA European Seniors Tour. What was originally a nine-hole course has since the 1950s been a championship course held in high regard in Italy.

From the tournament tee markers, the layout stretches to nearly 7,000 yards, and is a formidable test. The course is partially hidden by the remains of a 17th century Austrian fortress, which helps to embellish the natural landscape, already special thanks to its position on the popular island resort of Le Lido.
Gentle undulations and testing greens that are guarded tightly by strategic bunkering are the predominant characteristics of Venezia, which is sure to play a prominent part in a golf holiday in Venice.
