We played this on our first day when we had expected to play the championship course i.e. your course booking can and does change on a whim. We followed a group of Dutch, 2 men and 2 women who clearly were out for a stroll, the round took 4hrs 55 mins. The second time we played we followed a group of French whom took an 50 mins to play the first 2 holes - I asked to be allowed through on the third tee as they had then lost one hole. They agreed, thankfully, and we went ahead quickly, creating a one hole gap within 3 holes! The round took us 3hrs 55 mins and by the time we finished, after being held up for most of the back nine, there was a 2 hole gap. The course simply wants to pack in as many players as possible, regardless of etiquette being shown. The prices in the golf shop are simply crazy so don't plan to treat yourselves.
