Hawick is the oldest golf club in the Borders, and is set in amidst the picturesque countryside, taking in heather-clad hills, and the Tweed and Teviot Rivers. The golf course is set on the Vertish Hill, just outside the town of Hawick, and is relatively short, but the undulations make it a challenge for any golfer.

With a round of 64, Nick Faldo is the course record holder, while Colin Montgomerie and Tony Jacklin are honorary members. Visitors are also welcome to take advantage of the facilities in the clubhouse, which was renovated extensively in the late 1990s.
