Established in 1920, Hillsborough Golf Club is an extremely mature layout that is widely regarded to be one of the Sheffield area’s best. The welcoming club has a lovely clubhouse, and is caters perfectly to visiting groups and societies.

The undulating fairways and relatively small greens are maintained in excellent condition at Hillsborough, which is known to be a fair test for golfers of all standards. That said, the course has a brutal beginning, with three extremely difficult holes that can ruin a scorecard in an instant.
Hillsborough’s mature layout is an interesting and varied challenge, and one which can be enjoyed by every golfer. This warm and welcoming club is a local favourite, and one which should be included in any good golf tour around Sheffield.
