VILLA ITALIA HOTEL & SPA 5*

The Grande Real Villa Italia Hotel & Spa is built on the site of the last King of Italy's residence and is the newest 5-star luxury hotel in the area. The result of a redevelopment of the former residence of King Humberto II of Italy,  who lived in Portugal during his exile between the 1950s and the 1980s, it now enjoys then highest modern standards of design and comfort. Thanks to the architecture, views of the Atlantic Ocean can be enjoyed from almost all of the hotel's bedrooms, restaurants, terraces and swimming pools.

There are some fantastic eating options at the hotel, including Belvedere Restaurant, serving Mediterranean cuisine and featuring  a terrace with an amazing view over the Ocean, Bar la Terazza, which has a terrace overlooking the pool and the Ocean and offers a light menu, cocktails and live music in the evening, while Mare is a poolside bar for light meals in summer.

The new and enchanting Spa offers guests various services, including a Thalasso circuit pool, an ice fountain, thermal baths and a vast list of body and facial treatments which impart truly unique sensations. There are also two outdoor seawater swimming pools for adults and children, games room, library, reading room and hairdresser, fitness room with Kinésis system and Kids Club.

This region is also blessed with seven 18-hole courses and two 9-hole courses. Most of these courses were designed by well-known architects and cater for all standards of golfer. They include Belas, Oitavos Dunes Penha Longa, Pestana Beloura Golf and Quinta da Marinha.
