Raptor Bay boasts five sets of tees and thus can be stretched up to 6,702 yards from the tips right down to a more manageable 5,030 yards from the front tees, meaning golfers of all abilities can enjoy this Raymond Floyd designed gem. Each hole was carefully considered so that the course follows the natural lay of the scrubby wetland it sits upon. Needless to say the ever present water hazards are the main obstacle to good score but players must also carefully consider club selection. A distinct lack of sand bunkers means depth perception can be tricky and when the wind blows, Raptor Bay can be played much like a links course. Keeping the ball under the wind and chasing it onto the greens is an uncommon tactic in the USA but one that can be extremely beneficial at Raptor Bay.
