Based in Central London Your Golf Travel.com are seeking talented individuals to join our expanding sales team to coincide with significant growth in 2009.

Ideal Candidate
An articulate individual, educated to Degree level, with an ambition to hit and deliver sales targets as well as have a keen interest in golf and travel.

Role Overview
As a Sales Consultant you will be expected to respond promptly to enquiries that are generated by phone, email and the website and assist clients in booking all elements of their golf holiday.

Your Golf Travel aims to offer more than just a booking service. Armed with exceptional venue and product knowledge, our sales team offer a consultancy service for golfers looking to book their next golf holiday. Sales Consultants are expected to establish the client's individual requirements and make recommendations accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Selling golf holidays via inbound / outbound leads (Target led)
  • Phone calls (receiving & making calls to clients and venues, minimum numbers in place)
  • Emails (quotes to clients and communication with the venues)
  • Calculating costs & preparing package quotes
  • Managing customer accounts on the Your Golf Travel Database
  • Confirming all bookings with venues and customers
  • Collecting customer feedback
  • Dealing with amendments to booking details where necessary (tee times, group numbers, etc...)
  • Provide an after sales service to clients by organising any extras (transfers, car hire, etc...)

Although comprehensive venue and sales training is provided, ideally you would have worked in a sales environment previously to ensure that you have the skillsets needed to succeed in this role. Mentoring, formal training and venue visits form part of your ongoing training.

Your Golf Travel.com prides itself on the service it provides to its clients, and this position is therefore central to achieving these high standards. As well as providing a sales role, you will be responsible for managing customer and supplier relationships and dealing with issues confidently and efficiently. You should adopt a proactive attitude to the role and be able to use your initiative to solve arising issues. Managing customer expectations is key and should be your main objective in dealing with any problems that occur.

Being in a frontline, customer focused environment, quick service, good communication skills and knowledge are crucial. We are looking for enthusiastic, personable and well-organised people who work well in a team. A positive attitude is essential to succeed in this very rewarding role. A passion for golf, or a good knowledge of the game, is essential to assist you in building rapport with our clients. You will also have good knowledge in the Microsoft Office packages. Fluency in any European languages especially French, Spanish or Portuguese would be useful.

Remuneration
£18,000 - £22,000 Basic + Uncapped Commission


Accounts Payable Clerk
We are looking for an experienced accounts payable clerk to join a young, fast paced company based in the tour operator/leisure industry. The role requires someone who is comfortable using their initiative, dealing with a variety of accounts based queries, a strong communicator, and who can be relied upon under pressure. The role includes the batching of invoices, building relations with customers, price checking and the preparation and submission of a weekly BACS payment run.

Qualifications
5 GCSEs including Maths and English A-C. Previous purchase ledger experience is essential, this is a fast paced role and the successful candidate would need to ‘hit the ground running’. Experience using Sage is preferred, although not essential. Competent IT skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook.

Personal skills
The building of relationships with our suppliers is an integral part of the role; therefore an articulate phone manner and good communication skills are key, as well as the ability to work on your own initiative alongside being comfortable as a team player. Punctuality and reliability are essential.


Administrator - Sales / Service / Finance
We are looking for an administrator to join a young, fast paced company based in the tour operator/leisure industry. The role requires preparation of documentation and correspondence. Logging correspondence to ensure a prompt response is provided. Inputting data and updating statistics. Managing the financial systems and completing quarterly and annual returns on time. Ensuring payments are received and logged.

Qualifications
Preferred experience working in administration role. Knowledge and experience of computer spreadsheets and windows. Strong Excel skills, good computing and general IT skills. Good people skills and professional telephone manner essential. Must be numerate, presentable and organised with a methodical approach to work.

Personal skills
Excel , word processing, ability to use the internet, email and databases. Good communication both orally and in writing. Ability to work on own initiative whilst working collectively and co-operatively with the sales team and management.


Front End Web Designer
We are a young and energetic travel company in the City, and we’re looking for a full-time Front end designer to work on a wide range of projects within the travel sector. You will provide the creative lead to some exciting new web development projects, so a strong background in producing standards-based designs in HTML/CSS is essential. Alongside this work you will have the opportunity to spend some of your time working on designs destined for print media.

Skills needed

  • an online portfolio of previous work
  • at least 2 years web design experience (either in-house or freelance)
  • the organisational skills to deliver work on multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • the ability to work with others in developing creative briefs from scratch
  • extensive experience developing wireframes into creative mock-ups with Photoshop, Fireworks and/or Illustrator
  • the in-depth knowledge necessary to convert design concepts into semantically marked-up HTML and CSS
  • the tenacity to ensure cross-browser compatibility without compromising on design or adherence to web standards
  • experience of working closely with developers to ensure that any mark-up produced meets their needs
  • an eye for what makes a good design great

Ideal candidate will have

  • clear ideas on user experience
    knowledge of Flash and ActionScript
  • knowledge with ASP.NET and/or Ruby on Rails
  • experience with a Javascript framework (e.g. JQuery, Prototype or Mootools)
  • experience with Subversion or another version control system
  • a good understanding of basic Agile methods
  • a background in the travel industry

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with others in the company to develop creative briefs for a variety of projects
  • Rapidly developing design ideas into mock-ups
  • Liaising with developers to produce the HTML/CSS needed to realize your designs into live products
  • Working on material (e.g. brochures) destined for print media
