There's a free mini bar for non-alcoholic beverages, a fireplace, a Nespresso machine and freshwater from the glaciers. Wifi is also available and the bathrooms are fitted with a whirlpool and a plasma screen.

For its size - there are just seven rooms and six suites - the facilities are extensive. You can enjoy the Cinq Mondes Spa , an indoor pool, Jacuzzi, fitness room, sauna, hammam and four treatment cabins. There's also an outside pool and solarium, a billiard room, and the prestigious Severiano Ballesteros 18-hole golf course is just up the road.

You won't be disappointed with the Le Mont Blanc restaurant, either, with excellent set menus of French style cuisine at reasonable prices for lunch and dinner, or sit on the heated terrace and enjoy a mixed grill, raclette or brasserie meal.
