The Vale of Llangollen was something of a revelation with the stunning backdrop of the craggy hills and the fact that the course is so flat. The sun came out as we wandered down by the river and with sheep grazing across the water and a thoughtfully designed course we couldn’t really ask for a better experience.

Thanks for booking our North Wales Golf Tour the Vale of Llangollen is a great course, extremely picturesque and a real hidden gem. Maesdu was an interesting challenge in the breeze. Prestatyn was a proper links test with fast running fairways and lots of bump and runs to negotiate during the course of the round. The closing hole is a par five running back towards the clubhouse, trying to avoid the bunkers off the tee golfers are then left with a second shot towards the green which isn’t easy with drop offs waiting for your approach if it isn’t on the perfect line.

The Vale of Llangollen is an outstanding championship golf
course that sits on the banks of the River Dee, set in marvellous surroundings.
The testing SSS 73 layout is certain to be a highlight of any golf tour around
the Welsh border and North Shropshire.

Superbly conditioned, the course is frequently used for
national and regional professional events, and it comes highly recommended for
any golf tour in the area.
