The golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus at Long Bay Golf Resort is considered by many to be among the best tests in the Myrtle Beach area. Located in Longs, Long Bay is around 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand, but the championship layout makes the journey well worthwhile.

The consistently high ratings that Long Bay receives are thanks to the spectacular and hugely challenging layout devised by the Golden Bear; the predominant features are enormous, long bunkers and the frequent deployment of large mounds on the fairways and around the greens. This makes chipping and putting extremely difficult, as well as creating superb aesthetic appeal.
Highlights include the amazing island green at the 13th, and the unique 10th, Long Bay's signature hole which is famous for an enormous U-shaped bunker which wraps around the fairway in front of the green. Regularly ranked as one of the best courses around Myrtle Beach, Long Bay comes highly recommended for any group heading to the South Carolina shores.
