You'll not be surprised to learn that the region where Ian Woosnam learnt to play the game has its fair share of excellent golf clubs. This is a vast area offering a huge variety of classic golfing tests and, like most of the Principality, you can take in some superb scenery during your round. Some of the area's best-known courses include Llandrindod Wells, a testing course designed by Harry Vardon, and Kington (which is just over the border in England), the highest course in the country, which provides some truly spectacular views.
Mid Wales has something for everyone. It's a place to relax, soak up the scenery - stunning mountains and rolling countryside.
Away from the golf course there are plenty of distractions, including two beautiful National Parks - Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons - castles, art galleries, market towns, outdoor adventures and unique attractions are all waiting to be explored.
Planning where to stay when you visit Mid Wales may leave you spoilt for choice, but rest assured that where ever you choose to stay, be it a luxury hotel or a cosy bed and breakfast, you will be delighted with the comfort and quality of the accommodation on offer here.
