Murrayshall Course

The Murrayshall Course, which is the resort's primary championship course, is a highly regarded par 73 layout that can challenge even the finest players. The 6,441 yard stretch is frequently used for national amateur events, which is testament to the quality design formulated by Hamilton J. Stutt, whose architectural influences expertise was handed down from the great James Braid. The immaculate fairways are lined by mature woodland, while the pristine putting surfaces are protected by strategic bunkers. Murrayshall's impressive reputation is certainly justified, and is a fantastic golf break option in the stunning heart of Scotland.

Lynedoch Course

The Lynedoch Course is Murrayshall's second, and while it is not as celebrated as the main championship layout, it is thoroughly entertaining. The par of 69 will only be matched by the most precise visitors, and the large greens and water hazards present many potential perils. Also designed by Stutt, the beautiful Lynedoch Course is the perfect foil for the resort's main event, and plays an important role in attracting many astute golf break visitors.

Murrayshall has a dedicated golf centre, with an excellent range that is the ideal place to work on your game.

Hotel Information

Murrayshall offers 4* accommodation courtesy of its 41 comfortable guest rooms and suites. In keeping with the atmosphere that pervades throughout the resort, the accommodation is intimate and personal, combining perfectly the traditional Scottish character with the necessary modern facilities.

The country house hotel is a real hidden gem, where the outstanding levels of customer service match the quality of the hospitality. In the midst of the stunning Perthshire landscape, Murrayshall is a true delight, and comes highly recommended for a relaxing country golf break retreat.

Away from the golf course, visitors to Murrayshall can enjoy clay pigeon shooting, falconry, archery, quad biking, fishing, horse riding and tennis. Inside, guests can unwind in the hotel's steam room.

Murrayshall has excellent conference facilities, centred on its two large meeting rooms, in addition to private dining rooms.

The hotel's excellent restaurant serves a fantastic menu that takes considerable influence from Scottish cuisine.

This venue has 4 reviews, with an average rating of 5 out of 5

David and I have just returned from another great weekend at Murrayshall Hotel, organised through your Company. The hotel was superb, a very comfortable room, the food and service were great and we definitely hope to return some time in the future. The golf course on the 'side of the mountain' was a real challenge - thank goodness for buggies. We thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of both courses and look forward to returning, although you have so many interesting courses on offer at superb prices, it is a difficult choice. Many thanks,

For the second successive year we booked a golf holiday to Murrayshall in Perthshire. Upon arriving our rooms were ready and waiting...impressive considering we were an hour early for check in and the hotel was busy! We ordered our evening meal prior to teeing off which is an unusual from of service but very well done as our order arrived promptly and to perfection shortly after we had enjoyed an aperitif.

We played the Murrayshall Course on the Saturday and it was equally as enjoyable as the first time we played it past year...a real gem. A few birdies along the way and an hilarious 12 on a par 3 were the highlights. Upon finishing we headed to the bar for a refreshing pint or two and we followed the same format on the Lynedoch Course on the Sunday. An added bonus was the glorious sunshine we were lucky enough to have all weekend long.

Your Golf Travel set up our golf break perfectly and any of the slightest mishaps were promptly dealt with. We booked last year’s golf trip through YGT and following this year’s success we will certainly be back for more in the future. 10/10 for both Murrayshall and YGT!

Murrayshall is a fantastic venue for a golf break in Scotland. The hotel was excellent and the golf courses are really nice as well. I was just a pity I couldn’t make a putt all weekend!

Your Golf Travel have been excellent all the way through the booking process and I will definitely use you again for future golf breaks.

We enjoyed our golf break at Murrayshall in Scotland. In particular we enjoyed the Championship Course which was very good with spectacular views, interesting fairways and very good greens.

The Lyndoch Course was a different animal as we found it very challenging to walk thanks to the steep undulations. It does boast spectacular views but with the difficult nature of the terrain perhaps a sign recommending buggies would be a good idea. We are both in our late sixties and we certainly felt knackered by the end! We did enjoy the challenge though thanks to the tricky, tight holes that make up the layout.

Our experience in the hotel was a mixed bag as we had to move rooms because of the noise from the kitchen in the night. This was inconvenient but the cocktail bar and restaurant were very elegant and the food and the service were both excellent.

Your Golf Travel provides a very good service, in particular with the changing of dates of the golf break etc. All of your efforts were appreciated during the booking process.
