The Gulf Swing is now in full swing! The Qatar Masters was won by another starlet of the European Tour, Alvaro Quiros. This victory launches him into the top 30 in the world and virtually guarantees his place at the 2009 US Masters. His -19 total was good enough for a 3 stroke victory over Oosthuizen and Stenson. This will put him amongst the favourites for this week’s Dubai Desert Classic, being played at the Emirates Golf Club.
