| Dear Golfer, Last week saw both the European Tour and PGA Tour back in earnest with big money events in Abu Dhabi and California. As impressive as Kaymer and Haas’ victories were surely the question must be asked as to whether they are playing ‘Championship’ golf courses. Kaymer’s winning score was -21 for four rounds, while Haas romped into the winner’s enclosure with -30 for five rounds. It does appear that courses for the professional tours are being selected for reasons other than their Championship pedigree, which surely must be the pre-requisite when choosing a tour event venue. Sorry for my rant, but I do love nothing better than pros struggling against old-man par and not playing the course with a driver and pitching wedge!
