| Dear Golfer, Although this week saw two big tournaments on both the European and PGA Tours, it was actually a matter of groves which stole the headlines. Firstly it’s good to see the pros ‘adapting’ to the new rules and regulations regarding the new groove rules, with some stated to be “bending the rules” (Westwood) and “cheating” (McCarron) – good to see the pros throwing their toys out of the pram! I personally think the use of these old Ping wedges is going against the spirit of the game, but conversely is quite amusing – each year we are told to buy the latest equipment and it appears that 20 year old wedges are now better than the newest gear!
