What a fantastic four days at Royal Birkdale! Although I was a little sad to see the Great White beached on Sunday, it was Padraig’s almost perfect golf that shone through at Southport as he collected his second consecutive Open Championship title. With over 200,000 golfing fans flocking to Southport this week, it firstly shows golfers will watch whatever the weather, and also that even a lack of Tiger can’t keep us from following our golfing heroes. If you’ve been diagnosed with a case of Open fever why not take the only medicine known to cure…GOLF! Perhaps take a trip to the venue of the 2009 Open Turnberry or even follow in Harrington’s footsteps at Royal Birkdale.
