What a lovely weekend! The summer is officially here! Even I headed out on the course this weekend, my pink arms are testament to my intensive golfing. Although my golf was far from the standard of the boys in Sevilla at least the weather was just as good! The European Tour jetted off to scorching Sevilla for the Open de Espana. Despite an almost Armada-esq Spanish presence on the leaderboard for Sunday, it was left to Peter Lawrie to make it a hat-trick of Irish winners in as many weeks. Lawrie's playoff victory against Ignacio Garrido was filled with birdies, sand and eventually water for Garrido which allowed Lawrie to claim his maiden victory on the European Tour. With a host of Irish players hitting form for the Irish Open at Adare Manor, you would be brave to bet against a home winner come the 18th May.
Enjoy this week's newsletter and look forward to seeing you on the fairways soon!

Spring into the Springs...
Flanking the River Thames, the course at The Springs also features 3 lakes, making it an extremely picturesque setting for a round of golf. Situated in no less than 133 acres of parkland, the layout was conceived by Brian Huggett MBE, a former Ryder Cup player, and measures 6,470 yards at its fullest length.
The Springs Hotel is a magnificent Tudor construction that was originally built in 1874, and sits proudly above its beautifully manicured gardens. Like the façade, the interior is quintessentially English, where rich oak-panels bedeck the public areas, while the bedrooms have retained the character and charm of the building's history.
