1 Night, 2 Rounds
- 1 Night Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club
- 2 Rounds at Championship Course or The Signature Course
1 Night, 2 Rounds
For years The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club has been one of the top choices in the Midlands for a golf break, and it's not hard to see the appeal. You've got 36 holes of parkland golf across the Championship and Signature courses, both set over gently rolling countryside with mature trees, water features and plenty of shape in the land. It's a proper long-weekend venue, especially if your group likes variety without needing to travel between courses.
The big win is the location. The Nottinghamshire is just 20 minutes from the centre of Nottingham, so you can play all day and still be in town for dinner and a few pints if you fancy it. At the same time, once you're on the estate it feels rural and self-contained, which is exactly what most groups want from a UK golf break.
The hotel is modern and comfortable, with the practical stuff sorted for golfers. You can settle in, head out for a warm-up, play your round, then come back for food and a drink without hopping in the car. If you're organising for a society, that on-site convenience makes the whole trip run smoother. For anyone travelling in from further afield, it's also an easy shout from most parts of the UK.
Who is this for?
A Midlands base for golfers who want 36 holes on site, a comfortable hotel and the option of heading into Nottingham after the round.
Who is it best for?
Societies and mixed-ability groups, especially mid-handicappers who want classic parkland golf, good practice facilities and minimal faff between tee times, dinner and the bar.

The Nottinghamshire's best established course is best viewed in two distinct halves; the front nine is laid out around an intimidating network of lakes and waterways, which can easily account for the majority of your golf ball supply! The closing stretch is bordered by impressive woodland, and though different in style, is just as enjoyable.
Originally a nine-hole course, The Signature Course was transformed by Peter Alliss in 1997, and the revision has made it a real treat. The signature hole is the short 16th, whose green is perched at the edge of a large lake – in the middle of the same lake is the nerve jangling 11th tee!
Set within 340 acres, The Residence Boutique Hotel is the on-site option at The Nottinghamshire. Rooms are contemporary, finished to a high standard and styled with boutique touches, so it feels a bit more personal than a standard golf hotel. You've got a good spread of room types for golf groups, from twins and doubles through to family options and suites. If you want extra space or a quieter setup, the Superior Suites are the ones to look at, with private entrances that make it easy to come and go around the group schedule.
The practical side is sorted. Everything you need is close by, including the practice area, clubhouse and restaurant, so there's no messing about with transfers or driving between venues. That on-site convenience is worth a lot when you're trying to fit in two rounds and still have time to relax.
After golf, the Lakeview Restaurant is the natural go-to, with views across the estate and a relaxed feel that works for couples and societies alike. The food is well prepared and built around quality seasonal ingredients, and the setting makes it easy to settle in for a proper meal after your round. Stay in for dinner, then move to the bar for a post-round recap before turning in ready for another day on the courses.
The hotel works well whether you're here as a couple, a group of mates or even mixing golf with a bit of work. There's space to unwind, the atmosphere is relaxed without being casual, and the whole setup is geared towards golfers who want comfort and convenience without any stuffiness. It's the kind of place where you can play hard, eat well and sleep properly, which is all you really need from a golf break.

Was a great stay and the rooms were really great. Only thing that let it down was that it would have been great to have had a pool and spa facilities. Otherwise though excellent

Tee boxes were a little overgrown, but great otherwise. Halfway house was shut so no where to get a drink or snack half way round which was really annoying

The course wasn’t in great condition possibly due to the weather. Lacking in signage particularly between the 16th and 17th.
