The Rees Jones designed golf course at Oyster Reef opened for play in 1982 and was immediately recognized as one of the finest new golf courses in America. The layout is spectacular, weaving its way between tranquil lagoons, lush vegetation and strategically placed bunkers while providing the golfer with stunning views of the inlet to Port Royal Sounds. This beautiful course can provide a stern challenge for golfers of all abilities as the yardage can range from 7,018 yards from the tips right down to 5,288 yards from the forward placed tees.
The sheer quality of each and every hole makes choosing a signature hole a tough task but if one was to be pressed for answer the par 3 6th would be a popular choice.
