    Peel Golf Club

Although Peel is primarily a heathland course, with many holes having been cut through pine tree plantations, there distinct links accents in places with sweeping undulations and a range of natural hazards from streams and trees to turf banks and gorse all coming into play at one point or another.

Locals adore the billiard table like greens at Peel but be warned, although they are a delight to putt on, a delicate touch with the putter is a must. Measuring just under 6,000 yards, Peel is no modern monster but even the longer hitters, who may fancy themselves to overpower the course, will have to plot their way around carefully in order to score well.

In 1977 Peter Allis opened the sparkling new clubhouse which is now an excellent place to enjoy a refreshing drink or a bit to eat after a long day on the fairways.
