Robert Trent Jones was the man presented with the fantastic landscape at Playa Dorada, including a magical stretch along the tropical coastline. The designer has achieved the perfect balance at Playa Dorada; essentially, the layout is for resort guests, but Trent Jones succeeded, with the placement of numerous sets of tees, in creating a course that would be manageable for the average golfer, but one that could also present a good championship test.
