Accommodation at Pol Hotel Le Touquet

The renovations have brought the hotel accommodation up to an enviable standard, with contemporary guest bedrooms that are complete with double glazed windows, black-out curtains, air-conditioning, high quality beds and linen, mini-bar, safe, flat screen television and complimentary wireless internet access.

Despite the modern interior, the Pol Hotel has a lengthy history, dating back to its 1928 inception, and the traditional red brick exterior makes it a real landmark. The makeover makes the Pol an extremely comfortable hotel, and without doubt among the best options for a Le Touquet golf break.

Warm welcome received from polite and helpful staff Located a short walk from centre. Parking is all metered (and patrolled) but only a short walk to free on-street parking. Basic facilities. There was a tv in the room but no kettle and the safe didn’t work. There’s a trick to stop the toilet continuously filling. Nice deep bath but very little pressure in the hand held shower. Decor is rather tired and there were pungent scent dispensers in use. Maybe we were a little early in the season.

Location fantastic, perfectly located to the golf courses and restaurants, however the hotel itself was very dated, air-conditioning broken in many of the rooms, only had one towel per room for the first night. The hotel needs some tlc.

Very disappointing, there is no ability to shower, the bath has a showerhead but there is no curtain and nowhere to fix it so you have to kneel in the bath to keep the spray from going everywhere. The breakfast room is in a basement which felt like a dungeon there were no cooked options very poor and not even enough seating for our party, we didn't use it as we all went out instead and paid for breaksfast. This is not a good place to offer your clients. You have made 12 customers very unhappy.

Bedrooms are clean and tidy good beds and bedding Toilet area and bathroom are adequate Generally no attention to detail Toilet seat broken and loose Only a hole in the back of the bathroom door where a hook once was Only way to shower is to stand in the bath but no holder for shower head or shower curtain to stop the bathroom floor from becoming soaking wet No non slip shower mat or grab handle when standing in bath No extractor fan in bathroom Net curtains have seen better days they look grubby and have holes The male on reception when we arrived was not very helpful one of our party has special dietary requirements and could not eat cereal or bread and requested a boiled egg but this could not be supplied even though the web site showed a picture of breakfast which included eggs
