Founded in 1906, the Ravensworth Golf Club was named for Lord Ravensworth, on whose land the course was laid out. The sitting Lord was named Club President, and his successors have held that honour ever since. Originally a nine-hole course, the full eighteen-hole layout was completed in 1913, and has since become one of the area's best established and highly regarded clubs.
Ravensworth is a welcoming club for visitors, and with its recently inaugurated new clubhouse is a fantastic choice for any Newcastle golf tour group.
