Ocean inlets, edged with craggy rock, border many of the holes, particularly at the stunning climax to the golf course. The creator of the layout was Nick Faldo, who has built some notorious holes on the cliff tops. This has induced the obvious comparisons with Pebble Beach, but Roco Ki has a varied character.
In fact, at the course's opening, golfers will drop down into the centuries old mangrove swamps, into which Faldo has carved some miraculous challenges.
