The Australian’s mandate was to formulate a layout that would not only be a challenging test, but one that would also make the most of the resort’s stunning surroundings.
A network of lakes and streams are aided and abetted by more than 100 treacherous bunkers to produce a test that demands sound strategy and course management above all else. The exotic flora and fauna indigenous to this part of Thailand border many of the holes, only helping to embellish the experience of Royal Chiang Mai.
From the championship tee markers, the course reaches 6,969 yards, but with the variety of tees, the Royal Chiang Mai Resort can be enjoyed by anyone fortunate enough to head east for a golf holiday in Thailand.
