Extended to 18 holes a few years ago and updated to include a modern watering system that allows this 6,050-yard course to be played comfortably virtually all year round, Sables d'Or now has a par of 70 and plays through some beautiful countryside. One of the major changes was the reconstruction of the tees and the creation of several hazards that have been placed around the greens and fairways.
With wide fairways and rough that is light at best, Sables d'Or is truly a course for golfers of all abilities, though. The striking landscape and coastline also offers the most beautiful scenery, amongst which you will find five water holes. In addition, there is a new clubhouse and restaurant.
The charming little resort nearby boasts a two-mile long sandy beach bordered by large dunes and pine trees. Nearby is Cap Fréhel, the spectacular limestone cliff headland and the town of Erquy, which is famous for its fresh seafood restaurants.
