The Sanlucar Club de Campo is a par-72 championship layout that is a great blend of seaside and resort golf styles. The layout was designed by Borja de Llano, who drew his influences from the United Kingdom and Ireland's links courses to create the front nine. Here golfers will have to contend with the testing wind that comes off the Atlantic shores, before moving to the greatly differing style of the closing stretch.
The back nine has more of an American accent, with a greater number of water hazards and dog-legs, while the greens are divided more sharply by plateaus and undulations. Sanlucar is always maintained to an outstanding level, aided by the latest and greatest in drainage and irrigation technology.
Since its opening Sanlucar has steadily established a relationship as one of Southern Spain's most challenginf courses for golfers of all abilities, and set within a stunning location is a true joy to play as part of a golf holiday in Andalucia.
