    Shipyard Golf Club

Shipyard Golf Club boasts three nine hole loops that can be played in three 18 hole combinations giving the visiting golfer great variety and ultimately a better golfing experience. Each nine hole loop has its own unique challenge although he main threat to a good score comes from the seemingly endless series of water hazards.

The Clippers Course is perhaps the most testing of the three courses at Shipyard and the sand and water hazards certainly call for accuracy from the tee. Its not all about the long game here though as the greens require a soft touch to ensure you don’t drop too many shots.

The Galleon Course is the original layout at Shipyard Golf Club and they certainly have a more mature feel to them. Ancient oaks and towering pine trees border the fairways so accurate driving is essential as are precise approach shots into the greens which are heavily protected by well placed bunkers.

The Brigantine course calls for shot to be shaped in both directions thanks to a collection of doglegs throughout the nine hole loop. Water comes into play here more than on the other courses and it is wise to be careful when approaching the water’s edge as this is a favourite sun spot for the local alligators!

The superb collection of holes at Shipyard Golf Club is supplemented by a state-of-the-art practice facility, a fantastic clubhouse and the wonderful Reflections on the Green restaurant which is the perfect place to grab a bit to eat before you play or to refuel after a long day on the fairways.
