The 6,170 yard layout was devised and implemented by Tom Simpson and Herbert Fowler in 1913, and they succeeded in formulating a delightful test over the natural undulating Surrey parkland. Mature oaks stud the landscape, which is also carved up by a number of ravines, helping to create a good challenge.
The signature hole, and indeed one of the finest in Surrey, is the short 7th, which is played across a gully to a target that appears to shrink before your eyes! This is just one of the features of this immensely enjoyable parkland course, which can be included to provide an extremely satisfying golf tour in Surrey.
