Silloth was for a long time a hidden gem, flying under the radar of the UK's top links courses, but is now recognised as a proven championship track. Founded in 1892 with the aid of Railway Company money, Silloth on Solway was laid out by Davy Grant, with some assistance from the great Willie Park Jnr., and has a long association with British ladies golf.

The Solway Firth is the backdrop for the spectacular golf course, which is peppered with heather and gorse. Not only does this add considerable challenge to the layout, but during the summer months, the course is awash with glorious colours. Silloth on Solway is certainly a fine links course, but when you add the terrific value for money on offer, it becomes even more attractive.
