Experience the 2017 Solheim Cup with Your Golf Travel
Solheim Cup - Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Iowa, USA
The Solheim Cup is the most prestigious team event in women's golf, with the elite individuals from Europe and the United States battling for the famous crystal trophy. Like any good team format championship, the Solheim Cup is charged with emotion, with patriotism and national glory fuelling the fire.
It is now well established, but the Solheim Cup has only been competed for since 1990, when the dream of Ping founder, Karsten Solheim, was finally realised. An avid backer of women's golf, Solheim made history by pioneering this now prestigious event.
Like the Ryder Cup, the women's equivalent is played every two years and alternates between venues in Europe and the United States. Enquire now for your chance to soak up the phenomenal atmosphere with our official Solheim Cup ticket and hospitality packages.

A Look at the 2017 Solheim Cup
Measuring over 7,000 yards from the tournament tees, the Pete Dye designed North course will be a tough test for the women golfers who gather in Iowa to do battle for the 15th Solheim Cup.
Set amongst 471 acres of undulating land Des Moines Golf and Country Club boasts some spectacular holes that will provide a suitable stage for matchplay golf. The 18th is a great risk and reward hole, the water hazard just in front of the green may well decide the outcome of a few of the Singles matches on Sunday.

Top or Tail your Solheim Cup experience with a great golf holiday
Golfers attending the Solheim Cup have a wealth of fantastic golf resorts to combine as part of their trip. Whether it is re-living past matchplay tournaments at venues such as PGA National (1983 Ryder Cup host), The Greenbrier (1994 Solheim Cup host), Kiawah Island (1991 Ryder Cup host) or even 2020 Ryder Cup venue Whistling Straits, there is plenty of great golf to play in the United States.
Golfers seeking a Championship experience can play the likes of Pebble Beach, the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass or US Open host Pinehurst.
